Public Involvement Specialist

Job Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Public Involvement Specialist for an entry‑level position based in Ft. Myers, FL and/or Naples, FL. The role assists with general public information writing, media outreach, event logistics, website support, and the creation of project collateral.
Responsibilities

Write press releases, newsletters, project fact sheets, statistical reports, PowerPoint presentations, public service announcements, and other public information materials.
Visit construction project sites to share project‑related information with the public.
Coordinate logistics for special events such as public meetings, hearings, open houses, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, and project tours.
Assist public‑meeting organizers with facilitation.
Support website design, photo gallery maintenance, database administration, statistical analysis, reporting, and monthly maintenance.
Help design project collateral materials including displays, fact sheets, brochures, newsletters, and maps.
Take digital photographs for photo galleries and project records.
Monitor daily newspapers and clip stories and advertisements related to the firm’s projects.
Perform other general administrative and coordination duties as assigned.
Carry out additional duties as determined necessary by the Supervisor.
Qualifications

0–2 years of experience in public relations, communications, marketing, writing/editing, or media.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to make persuasive public presentations.
Team‑oriented and capable of working independently, with effective oral and written communication.
Microsoft Office proficiency.
Bilingual Spanish fluent–preferred but not required.
No required professional registrations.

Compensation

Expected compensation range: $65,000 – $85,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
