Senior Visual Designer

Join our dynamic marketing team as a Senior Visual Designer at John Hancock Insurance. You will help shape marketing for our life insurance products through creative design that drives engagement and sales.
Responsibilities

Conceptualize creative solutions that communicate the strategic intent for each tactic in assigned projects.
Deliver strategic thinking and visual direction for print, digital, and video materials.
Collaborate with Copywriters to develop creative concepts and executions.
Apply strong understanding of the science and market dynamics of each project.
Coordinate with Project Managers to schedule and monitor projects.
Execute miscellaneous tasks directed by the Head of Brand Creative.
Assist in preparing presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients.
Partner with the Social Media manager to design social content for brand channels.
Collaborate with UX designers on digital experiences, leading visual design and ensuring brand consistency.
Educate and inform business partners on correct brand usage.
Develop strategies to replace off‑brand materials with updated, consistent assets.
Continuously propose ideas to differentiate brand work in a crowded market.
Manage relationships with external partners and third‑party vendors to maintain brand consistency.
Work with internal partners and creatives to grow the brand organically from a corporate perspective.
Contribute to brand‑related research and discussions on assets such as logos, color palettes, and templates.
Ensure proper processes are followed across projects.
Elevate the creative bar through strategy and execution.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Art, Media, or equivalent.
Strong experience in corporate branding systems.
5–8 years of related design experience, preferably in financial‑industry marketing print materials.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office.
Solid understanding of traditional design skills: sketching, composition, storyboarding.
Deep knowledge of typography, color palettes, grid systems, and file preparation for print and web.
Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Figma.
Location & Working Arrangement

Boston, Massachusetts (Hybrid work model). Salary range: $92,475 – $160,290 USD.
