Description & Requirements Bloomberg is a leading provider of news and financial information. The News Product team develops solutions that give Bloomberg Terminal customers access to the most critical information impacting financial markets from more than 200,000 news and social media sources.
What’s the role? We are looking for an analytical and highly organized individual to support the News Product’s Content Delivery team in tracking, reporting on, and interpreting progress against key strategic priorities for news content on the Terminal and mobile.
In this role, you will help establish regular reporting and monitoring processes for strategic projects across News Product and stakeholder teams. You will work with senior colleagues to understand the goals of these initiatives, identify what needs to be measured, and help determine the right approach for ongoing analysis.
You will help shape how we monitor progress, providing insight on the appropriate format and how insights should be shared with different audiences. You will partner closely with teams that own reporting infrastructure, while helping ensure that the underlying questions, metrics, and interpretation are clear and useful.
This role sits within our News Product under Bloomberg’s Core Product. It is an important area of growth and innovation for our business, focused on improving how Bloomberg understands the value, reach, and impact of content for Terminal customers, particularly as the product evolves with agentic AI.
We’ll trust you to: Learn the strategic priorities for content on the Terminal and mobile, and help translate them into measurable questions and reporting needs
Own the creation of regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting processes for strategic projects
Help monitor progress against agreed priorities, surfacing trends, risks, gaps, and areas requiring further investigation
Work with senior colleagues to define what should be measured, how often it should be reviewed, and what format is most useful for decision-making
Help determine when a formal dashboard is needed versus when a recurring data pull, written summary, or ad‑hoc analysis is more appropriate
Partner with data, analytics, and reporting teams to communicate the needs of the Content & Audience Strategy team
Prepare clear summaries and analysis for senior stakeholders, highlighting what has changed, why it matters, and where decisions may be needed
Help manage inbound and ad‑hoc requests from stakeholders, ensuring analyses are well‑scoped, consistent, and useful
Maintain a structured view of key strategic projects, reporting cadences, open questions, and follow‑up actions
Support efforts to improve data capture, metric definitions, and shared understanding of how Bloomberg measures the impact of news content
You’ll need to have: Experience using data to support business, product, editorial, or content decisions
5+ years of experience in a news, content, product, analytics, strategy, or similarly fast‑paced environment
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage recurring reporting cycles across multiple projects
Ability to turn data and qualitative context into clear insights and recommendations
Comfort working with stakeholders to clarify questions, define metrics, and shape analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data‑driven findings to non‑technical audiences
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets
Familiarity with reporting or BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik Sense, or similar platforms
Basic knowledge of SQL, or a willingness to develop SQL skills
We’d love to see: A collaborative mindset and ability to work across product, editorial, data, and technology teams
Strong analytical skills and curiosity about what the data does and does not show
Interest in news, financial information, and how professional customers use content
Good judgment about when analysis needs to be lightweight and practical versus more formal and repeatable
Empathy for news content creators and the pressures of a fast‑moving editorial environment
Comfort operating in a dynamic environment where priorities, questions, and reporting needs may evolve
Experience supporting strategic initiatives, operating reviews, business reviews, or recurring performance reporting
Salary Range 110,000 - 225,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
