You'll partner with internal teams and client contacts to deliver seamless execution, creative solutions, and a superior client experience.Why Alera GroupMeaningful Impact: Help clients and employees navigate benefits programs that drive retention, engagement, and satisfactionGrowth & Learning: Opportunities to deepen your expertise and gain exposure to a variety of clients and industriesCollaborative Culture: Work in a team-oriented environment that values accountability, partnership, and the principles of The Collaborative WayWhat You'll Do / Your ImpactClient Partnership & StrategyBuild and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders including executives, HR leaders, and benefits administratorsServe as a strategic advisor to clients, aligning benefit programs with business objectivesLead ongoing client engagement, planning, and long-term strategy developmentBenefit Strategy & Plan DesignAssess client benefit programs, workforce demographics, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvementDesign and recommend benefit strategies, including fully insured and self-insured solutionsEvaluate carriers, plan options, and coverage levels to balance cost, risk, and employee experienceFinancial & Data-Driven InsightsAnalyze claims data, utilization patterns, and financial reports to identify cost drivers and trendsDevelop and present actionable insights and recommendations to clientsSupport financial modeling and reporting to guide decision-makingCost Management & OptimizationImplement cost containment strategies including wellness initiatives, network optimization, and utilization managementMonitor program performance and recommend adjustments to improve outcomes and sustainabilityCompliance & GovernanceEnsure client plans remain compliant with applicable regulations including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRAProvide guidance on regulatory changes and their impact on benefit programsVendor & Carrier ManagementNegotiate and manage relationships with carriers, TPAs, and vendorsEvaluate service delivery, pricing, and contractual terms to ensure client valueEmployee Engagement & CommunicationDevelop and deliver benefit communications, enrollment materials, and educational sessionsSupport open enrollment strategy and employee understanding of benefit offeringsContinuous ImprovementEvaluate program effectiveness through benchmarking, reporting, and client feedbackRecommend enhancements to improve performance, satisfaction, and competitive positioningWhat You BringRequiredBachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or related field8+ years of experience in employee benefits consulting, brokerage, or related field with large employer clientsStrong understanding of benefit plan design, insurance products, and underwriting principlesExperience analyzing data and presenting insights to clientsExcellent communication and relationship management skillsPreferredProven ability to deliver strategic consulting and drive positive client outcomesIndustry certifications such as CEBS, REBC, GBA, or PHRProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteCore CompetenciesStrategic thinking and problem-solvingClient-first mindsetAnalytical and data-driven decision-makingStrong communication and executive presenceAccountability and follow-throughCompensationSalary range: $175,000
