Job Description
Negri Firman is seeking a PR & Media Relations Manager for its New York office.
The role will oversee and execute bespoke PR, media relations and communication strategies for a portfolio of clients across fashion, design, culture, and lifestyle clients . The successful candidate will lead day-to-day strategic implementation, and direct media and influencer relations, ensuring consistent excellence across all activities.
We are looking for an ambitious, digitally savvy professional with strategic mindset and a creative approach to communications. The ideal candidate combines solid industry expertise and real journalist relationship, with the ability to develop innovative pitch angles, activate both traditional and unconventional communication channels, and translate brand positioning into impactful storytelling.

Responsibilities include but limited to:
Drive client KPIs and oversee the day‑to‑day account management of our clients.
Engage with media to secure high‑level features and placements that position brands as thought leaders and innovators.
Build on existing exceptional media relationships within the industry while also creating new contacts (long‑lead and short‑lead, mainstream media, trade and blogs).
Act as an ambassador amongst all key target media at appropriate levels.
Spearhead and support PR and media relations campaigns through a demonstrated working knowledge of social influence, emerging digital platforms, and creative problem‑solving to increase brand visibility.
Develop with the team media seeding program where appropriate.
Participate in client meetings and calls.
Skill & Qualifications:
Min 5 years of proven experience in PR, media relations, communication;
Previous experience in an agency is considered an advantage;
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
Established long‑term relationships with key international media across lifestyle, design, architecture, and culture.
Strong media pitching capabilities and the ability to proactively identify and leverage communication opportunities.
Strong strategic and creative thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies.
Ability to analyze performance metrics, forecast KPIs, and evaluate ROI.
Visionary and opportunity‑driven mindset, contributing to new business development initiatives.
Responsive and solution‑oriented approach to client management, with the ability to build trusted, long‑term relationships.
Discreet, professional, and articulate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
knowledge and skills to work with PR & Media Relations tools (Launchmetric, Muck Rack, Onclusive, etc) within all relevant areas (sample trafficking, events, shows, database).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant digital communication tools.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $85,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
