Visual Designer

to support the growth of the Star Catcher brand and the broader mission of building the world's first orbital power grid. This role will be responsible for translating complex technical concepts into compelling, accurate, and on‑brand visual content — including infographics, whitepapers, and other marketing collateral — to engage customers, partners, investors, and the broader space community.

This is an on‑site role, based in Jacksonville, Florida

Responsibilities

Creating original visual content that explains Star Catcher's technology, mission architecture, and value proposition across formats including infographics, technical diagrams, explainer illustrations, presentations, motion graphics, and social assets

Owning and stewarding Star Catcher's visual brand identity, ensuring consistency across all internal and external materials in alignment with established brand guidelines

Partnering closely with engineering and leadership teams to deeply understand the technology and translate it into visuals that are both technically accurate and strategically effective

Supporting the development of marketing collateral, pitch decks, whitepapers, event materials, website assets, and media content

Collaborating with external vendors to create industry‑leading, on‑brand multimedia such as animations, videos, motion graphics, and renders

Iterating quickly in a fast‑paced startup environment where priorities shift and high‑quality output is expected with lean resources

Minimum Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in graphic design, visual communication, or related field, preferably within the space, science, defense, or technology sectors

Demonstrated fluency in technical or scientific subject matter reflected in portfolio work

Ideal Experience

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field; Completed coursework in Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, or a related STEM field a plus

Desired Skills

Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Figma

Proficiency with presentation design tools in Google and Microsoft suites

Ability to read and accurately interpret technical documentation, engineering diagrams, data insights, or scientific content and translate it into original visual work

Experience owning or contributing to a brand system, with a detailed eye for typographic consistency, color, and visual hierarchy

Familiarity with motion graphics or 3D visualization tools (After Effects, Blender, Cinema 4D, or similar)

Familiarity with photography and video editing a plus

Self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced startup environment

Effective collaboration skills with the ability to interface across engineering, product/business development, marketing, and executive teams
