Role Description
The Marketing Coordinator is a full-time, on-site position based in Norfolk, Virginia, THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. Responsible for leading Eggleston's digital marketing and social media presence. This role develops engaging digital content that increases community awareness, promotes programs and events, and strengthens the organization's brand across multiple platforms. Primary responsibilities include creating social media campaigns, producing short‑form videos and reels, designing graphics, capturing and editing photography and video content, managing website content, and developing compelling digital storytelling that highlights Eggleston's mission and impact.

The Marketing Coordinator will manage and optimize the organization's digital marketing strategy through Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, email marketing, and other online platforms. The position is responsible for monitoring campaign performance using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, and Google Ad Grants (Google AdWords), evaluating key performance metrics, and making data‑driven recommendations to improve audience engagement, website traffic, and marketing effectiveness. This role will also assist with event promotion, community outreach, external communications, and collaboration with program leadership to ensure consistent messaging while measuring and reporting the return on investment of marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling digital content for social media, websites, email campaigns, and community outreach.

Demonstrated experience creating social media content, including graphics, short‑form videos, Reels, and other multimedia for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

Experience with website content management, and a working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices.

Proficiency with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, and Google Ad Grants (Google Ads), with the ability to analyze campaign performance and make data‑driven recommendations.

Experience using graphic design and video editing software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Express, Clipchamp, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar platforms.

Ability to interpret marketing metrics, measure campaign effectiveness, and prepare reports demonstrating audience engagement, website traffic, and return on investment.

Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Experience planning and promoting community events through digital marketing campaigns.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communicate respectfully with individuals with disabilities, community partners, donors, and stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing and Production, Digital Media, Marketing Research and Analytics, or a related field.
