Our client, a popular denim brand in LA, is looking for a

TEMP-TO-HIRE

Associate Denim Designer

to join their Los Angeles team!

Responsibilities

Support the Denim Design team throughout the seasonal design and product development process.

Create and maintain technical flats, CADs, and design specifications in partnership with senior designers.

Assist in the development of denim washes, finishes, and garment treatments that align with seasonal concepts and brand aesthetic.

Research denim trends, market competition, and wash innovations.

Review wash submissions, strike-offs, and sample garments, providing detailed feedback and documenting revisions.

Partner with Product Development and Technical Design to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the development process.

Organize and track seasonal samples, fabric developments, trims, and wash approvals.

Assist with fit sessions and sample reviews, capturing comments and next steps.

Maintain accurate design documentation and product information within PLM systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.

3+ years of apparel design experience, preferably within denim or bottoms categories.

Strong understanding of denim fabrics, garment construction, fit, wash development, and finishing techniques.
