Audience Development Assistant (Term Time Only)

Overview

Audience Development Assistant – Term Time Only (Ref: POS000456). This fixed‑term, part‑time role (30 hours per week) supports Darlington Libraries’ outreach to community venues, schools, and health partners, delivering Bookstart Rhymetime sessions and facilitating access to library services.
Salary: £26,403 – £26,824 per annum (pro‑rata) within the £20,001 – £30,000 band.
Responsibilities

Organise and run Bookstart Rhymetime sessions in the community.
Collaborate with partners in health and education to promote library services.
Assist with outreach activities across library buildings and external venues.
Provide customer‑focused support and encourage adult and children engagement with reading, digital and cultural experiences.
Requirements

Demonstrated enthusiasm, energy and organisational skills.
Own transport to reach external venues.
Successful Enhanced DBS disclosure check.
