Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience programming in C++.

3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

Understanding how large-scale systems work and how their components interact.

Experience with throughput and latency, automation.

Responsibilities

Help run a highly reliable infrastructure that supports billions of dollars of business.

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Build the infrastructure and quality machinery powering ads on all Google Search queries, including queries to e‑commerce partners and Google‑owned and operated properties.

Help support numerous launches through a constantly evolving system, providing APIs, testing frameworks and tools/processes that enable high developer productivity and operational excellence.

Build automation systems and related tools to operate this large and critical system at scale.

Improve usability and performance of large distributed systems.

Compensation
US: $174,000 – $253,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
