Production Technician (Flex Work)

Job Overview
At Caterpillar’s facility in Victoria, Texas, the Part‑Time Production Technician – FLEX will contribute to the safe and efficient assembly of excavator attachments, ensuring high quality and reliability of Caterpillar machines.

Responsibilities

Perform routine production tasks in assembly, fabrication, paint, or other manufacturing areas while upholding Caterpillar’s core values.

Follow documented procedures to safely and accurately assemble components using basic tools and equipment.

Operate machinery, blasting, and painting equipment, and perform basic tack and straight‑line welds.

Support continuous improvement by applying lean manufacturing principles and adhering to safety, quality, and standard work protocols.

Qualifications

Work or volunteer experience, preferably in a manufacturing or team‑based environment.

Basic computer skills.

Experience working with basic hand tools.

Schedule & Compensation

Schedule: Build your own schedule within the available shift hours; required 20–32 hours per week in two‑to‑eight‑hour increments.

Pay: $16.45 per hour (range $16.43–$21.37 per hour depending on experience and market). Replacement pay for training: $18 per hour.

Training schedule: Monday 7:00‑11:00, Tuesday‑Thursday 7:00‑15:30, Friday 7:00‑11:00.
