Volunteer Photographer / Videographer

The Greater Los Angeles Chapter of Huntington's Disease Society of America is dedicated to providing support and care for those who suffer from Huntington's Disease, their families, and the Huntington's Disease Community. We are committed to the eradication of this disease through education, advocacy, family services and research. The Greater Los Angeles Chapter (HDSA/LA) serves the ten-county region surrounding Los Angeles, extending from Fresno in the north to Orange County in the south.

The Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA) Los Angeles Chapter is seeking volunteer photographers and videographers to help capture the energy, impact, and stories behind our community events.

Whether you are an experienced professional, part of a media team, a student building your portfolio, or a passionate hobbyist, we would love to connect with you.

We host several events throughout the year that bring together families impacted by Huntington's disease, community supporters, volunteers, healthcare professionals, and advocates. Your work will help us raise awareness, celebrate our community, and inspire future support for our mission.

Events Include

Team Hope Walk – Annual community walk and fundraiser

Hoops for HD – Charity basketball tournament

Education Day – Educational conference for families and caregivers

Shine A Light on HD Food & Wine Festival – Signature fundraising and awareness event

Volunteers may choose to participate in one event, multiple events, or whichever opportunities fit their schedule.

Responsibilities
Photographers may help with:

Capturing candid moments and event highlights

Taking photos of speakers, volunteers, participants, and sponsors

Providing edited high‑resolution images following the event

Videographers may help with:

Recording event footage and interviews

Creating short highlight reels or recap videos

Capturing content for social media and future promotional materials
