Production Supervisor (3rd Shift) – Wichita, KS
Aerospace Manufacturing & Machining
The Production Supervisor will plan, organize, and control production to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The supervisor will directly supervise and coordinate production activities between machine operators, overseeing daily production schedules and ensuring inventory levels are managed properly.

Friday, Saturday & Sunday 4 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
Minimum 3 years of knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
2–3 years of manufacturing experience required
Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day workflow of production staff
Manage production operators
Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
Work with department leaders to monitor each department and make recommendations to improve performance that impacts the organization
Oversee the production process to ensure delivery of high‑quality products that meet customer needs
Ensure appropriate production rate to reduce delivery delays
Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales departments to identify and resolve quality concerns
Identify bottlenecks or delays in production; ensure necessary labor, materials and other resources are available to relieve production bottlenecks and delays
Use production planning and scheduling to limit material shortages
Ensure production machinery complies with professional and safety standards
Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner
Resolve employee, customer or contractor issues
Coordinate with internal and external parties to exchange relevant information
Prepare staff schedules and determine work assignments, including timeline completions for projects
Represent the organization in external relations, including negotiations
Act as liaison between departments or other groups to improve function, performance or communication
Review applicable policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and relevance and communicate said policies and procedures, updating as necessary
Ensure Corrective Action Reports are submitted on time with proper resolutions
Enforce safety and health regulations
Direct and coordinate employees engaged in the production or processing of goods
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure operators conform to standards
Conduct employee training in equipment operations, work and safety procedures, or assign training to experienced workers
Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies for workers
Keep records of employees attendance and hours worked
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records to determine production requirements and evaluate outputs
Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services
Maintain operations data (time, production, cost records) and prepare management reports of results
Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates based on policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads
Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances
Set up and adjust machines and equipment
Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency
Recommend or execute personnel actions (hirings, evaluations, promotions)
Implement corrective actions to address organizational or departmental issues
Departmental Coordination
Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments, including procurement, distribution, and management
