Pay:

$141,000 – $206,000 USD per year (US only) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.

Google’s technical infrastructure—including its global network of data centers, fiber‑optic cables and subsea links—provides the foundation for all of our products and AI capabilities. As a part of the Google Cloud Communications team in Global Communications and Public Affairs, you will promote and defend Google’s infrastructure story, educate customers, partners and the media about its economic, social and technological benefits, and shape storytelling at local, regional and global levels.

Responsibilities

Drive the global external communications strategy for Google’s infrastructure across high‑growth geographic regions.

Develop, write, and edit compelling communications materials, including statements, story pitches and announcements.

Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to key business partners.

Cultivate media and partner relationships to drive awareness, excitement and factual reporting about Google’s infrastructure.

Manage crisis communications scenarios when necessary.

Collaborate with executives across the organization to bring deep understanding of technology and policy issues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Seven years of experience in external communications with the enterprise technology industry.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in the cloud computing or enterprise technology space.

Experience building and maintaining media relationships across business and technology press.

Ability to rapidly learn about various public policy and infrastructure topics.

Strategic thinking and creative communication skills that drive results.

Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and build relationships with key stakeholders.
