Mobile Clinic
Responsibilities

Operate and drive a 40-foot vehicle safely, complying with all motor vehicle codes and regulations.
Become familiar with vehicle operations—setting up, operating, and preparing the mobile clinic for use at designated sites.
Fuel the vehicle, fill water tanks, and wash as needed.
Assist in maintaining the mobile clinic vehicle by overseeing preventative maintenance functions, performing daily/weekly/monthly vehicle checks for damage, equipment failures, and safety issues.
Coordinate repairs and maintenance with local mobile vehicle service centers.
Perform physical labor related to the vehicle.
Prepare the mobile clinic to receive patients and visitors.
Provide patient intake/registration, outreach, and engagement to people in the communities where the mobile clinic is providing services.
Assist with patient referrals and patient follow‑up calls.
Provide non‑clinical support as needed to clinicians.
Supervise use of the mobile clinic at health fairs and other community events during evenings and weekends, as assigned.
Display a respectful, non‑judgmental, and compassionate manner with patients and staff at all times.
Serve as on‑site liaison to contacts at locations where the mobile clinic provides services.
Provide a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment to patients and the community.
Handle food distribution and track it, including submitting EFAP reports to the Food Bank for Monterey County.
Provide additional information regarding free relatable resources while engaging with the community.
Recommend opportunities to improve the patient experience.
Document patient testimonials (pictures, video, statements) and ensure release forms are understood and signed.
Represent SVH professionally.
Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings.
Adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Available to work occasional weekends based on departmental needs.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Current California Driver’s License required.
Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards required (new hires/transfers have six months to obtain).
Two years of experience driving large vehicles.
Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
Essential technical/motor skills: physical and communication skills.
Interpersonal skills: ability to build strong community relationships.
Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is $38.17 – $47.71.
