Role Overview

Director, Deal Maker – SLED

– Lead sales activities, driving complex, multi‑tower, multi‑million dollar deals from qualification to closure. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, craft compelling proposals, determine pricing and commercial strategies, negotiate contracts, and maintain governance and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

Lead qualification and closure of multi‑million dollar state and multi‑tower deals.

Create compelling proposals and technical solutions aligned with customer needs.

Determine pricing and commercial strategies in partnership with pricing experts.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather technical documents for bid submissions.

Lead contract negotiations to secure optimal outcomes for both the company and clients.

Own final proposal documents, ensuring clarity, precision, and adherence to governance processes.

Establish reporting and governance to monitor deal success.

Standardize pitches across a diverse portfolio of industries.

Required Skills and Experience

10+ years of experience leading state/local government customer negotiations.

Strong expertise in state government technology solutions and technical solution sales techniques.

Proven record of conceptualizing and executing bid activities and deals within state government.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Sales experience in government technical solutions.

Experience with state DMV agencies.

Fluency in state government budgeting and funding processes.

Compensation

U.S. $161,520–$290,760 (full‑time). Additional locations ranges are provided below.

California (San Francisco Bay Area): $193,920–$348,840

California (All Other): $177,720–$319,800

Colorado: $161,520–$290,760

Massachusetts: $161,520–$319,800

New York City: $193,920–$348,840

Washington: $177,720–$319,800

Washington DC: $177,720–$319,800
