Job Summary and Mission
The Analyst, Category Management supports the Coffee & Beverage Division by mining consumer, shopper, category, customer and marketplace data, to uncover leverageable insights that drive strategic recommendations that enables sustainable category growth. This role serves as a strategic thought partner to Category Strategy leaders by identifying emerging trends, evaluating growth opportunities, helping develop category visions, supporting commercial planning initiatives, and providing analytical expertise that shapes division-wide priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Requirements
Analyze category, shopper, consumer, customer and competitive trends to identify growth opportunities, identify risks, and inform strategic decision-making.
Generate data-driven insights and recommendations that shape category strategies, customer plans, and commercial priorities.
Build & enhance analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that enable performance tracking and strategic planning.
Support development of category visions, growth strategies, and long-range business plans across Coffee & Beverage categories.
Evaluate opportunities to optimize distribution, assortment, shelf placement, and merchandising execution to drive category performance.
Champion innovative analytics, reporting capabilities, and insights solutions that improve business efficiency & decision quality.
Strengthen organizational capabilities by sharing analytical expertise, category knowledge, and best practices across cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Experience
3+ years of relevant experience in category management, sales, marketing, or related fields.
2+ years of experience in Analyst, Category Development, or Sales Support roles within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
Proficiency with syndicated data sources (Circana) is required.
Experience working with large datasets.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
Basic understanding of financial principles.
Knowledge of the CPG industry.
Strong persuasive communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
Capacity to build diverse and collaborative relationships.
Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.
Comfort in presenting and communicating cross-functionally.
Adaptability to work in a dynamic, changing, matrix environment.
The approximate target compensation range for this role is $80K to $104K. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
