Multimedia Content Specialist
The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full‑time Multimedia Content Specialist based at our South Mountain and Papago Park campuses, working Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. After successfully completing a six‑month onboarding period, this role will offer a hybrid schedule (two days remote and three days onsite). This position requires the ability to travel between AHS's three campuses and other external locations to capture content, with occasional filming before or after regular work hours and on weekends.

A Day in the Life:
In this role, the Multimedia Content Specialist plays a key part in telling the stories of the Arizona Humane Society through engaging video, written, and audio content. The position involves researching story ideas, coordinating filming logistics, and capturing footage across AHS campuses or out in the field, sometimes documenting animal rescues or hospital intakes. The Specialist conducts interviews, gathers compelling visuals, and collaborates with team members to ensure every story aligns with AHS's brand and communication goals.

From concept to final delivery, the Specialist manages multiple projects simultaneously, writing scripts, filming, editing, and producing content for social media, the website, internal communications, email campaigns, and digital ads. The role requires staying current on storytelling trends in animal welfare, working with internal teams and external partners, and maintaining an organized workflow to keep projects moving smoothly.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Video Production, Journalism, or a related field preferred

3+ years in multimedia production required

2+ years in video post‑production required

Intermediate experience with file management, processing, and organization

Intermediate knowledge of video, audio, and photo editing tools

Experience with storyboarding and script writing

Ability to handle animals safely and humanely in all conditions

Basic knowledge of SEO and video performance analytics

Basic experience with project management

Proactive communicator and listener, skilled at receiving and responding to feedback, ensuring the creative vision aligns with client and stakeholder expectations

Passionate about content creation and committed to ongoing growth

Strong attention to detail

Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Lightroom, Capture One), along with photography & video camera equipment, audio equipment, continuous lighting equipment, and Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with Chameleon database and Asana project management software is a strong plus.

Valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record for mandatory employee insurance obligations.

Physical Demands / Work Environment
Employee duties frequently require standing, walking, sitting, using hands to grasp objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Occasional lifting or moving up to 50 pounds is required. The job requires hearing above ambient animal noise. Exposure to dust, heat, cold, temperature fluctuations, wet floors, animal noises, odors, and dander will occur. Most time is spent in a typical air‑conditioned and heated office environment.
