DESCRIPTION
The Nassau BOCES Department of Curriculum & Instruction is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Model Schools program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Coordinating the development, scheduling, and implementation of online courses and professional learning opportunities

Supporting the Supervisor II in the development, scheduling, and implementation of professional learning opportunities for component school districts

Communicating with Nassau County school district technology directors and Assistant Superintendents to plan and deliver customized professional development to meet the needs of students

Maintaining programmatic records using Microsoft 365 tools

Assisting with internal and external communication, ensuring timely and accurate responses to school districts and vendors

Collaborating with team members to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and enhance the overall effectiveness of Model Schools initiatives

Communicating with school district administrators, teachers, and staff to support technology integration and special projects

REQUIREMENTS

New York State Education Department Certification: School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA)

Three or more years of teaching and/or administrative experience

Knowledge of the New York State K-12 Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards

Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with component school districts

Knowledge of and experience within instructional technology and applications

Knowledge of state and federal laws surrounding student use of instructional technologies

Ability to travel
