Footwear Product Developer

We are seeking a Footwear Product Developer for a one-year contract assignment. This role is pivotal in the development of performance basketball footwear within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will manage project plans, ensure accountability among team members, and collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams including design, color, and product line management. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality and discretion, as it involves work on signature athlete products.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage project plans for performance basketball footwear.
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders in other geographies, which may require occasional evening calls.
Ensure project deadlines are met and maintain accountability within the project team.
Facilitate communication between design, color, product line management, and development teams.
Uphold confidentiality and discretion when working with signature athlete product lines.
Engage in the full footwear development process, distinct from initial design.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 5+ years of experience is required, with a preference for experience in performance footwear development.
Strong project management abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to create and execute project plans while holding team members accountable.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in footwear development with a major athletic brand.
Proficiency in reading 3D CAD model views.
A personal connection to or passion for basketball, such as experience as an athlete or in wear-testing.
Self-starting, ambitious, and deadline-oriented work ethic.
Confidence in influencing and communicating with teammates.
