Overview
The Installation Scheduler position is responsible for assigning, scheduling, and confirming all installation orders for their specific markets, including reviewing all orders for design and pricing accuracy. The position manages the store’s calendar by keeping track of the installer’s daily schedule and availability. This is a full-time, hourly, non‑exempt position.

This role is based at Closet Works, recently acquired by The Container Store. Responsibilities

Assigns the customer installation orders to installers

Contacts customers to schedule and confirm installation appointment details

Efficiently coordinates installs based on geography, design complexity and experience of the installer

Reviews the quality and clarity of space designs and follows up with stores when issues arise

Provides availability to store’s calendars to allow staff to schedule customer installation orders at the time of purchase

Assists with customer service support when needed

Maintains installation schedules and customer confirmations

Responds quickly, professionally, and accurately to all internal and external correspondence

Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule

Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information

Performs other requested tasks and duties

Qualifications

1 – 3 years experience in customer service field required; retail experience a plus

Logistics, planning, scheduling experience required

Strong communication with internal and external customers

High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong interpersonal skills and be able to relate respectfully, cordially, and freely with others (Customers, Other Employees and Vendors)

Strong computer skills: proficiency in Outlook and Word. Salesforce experience a plus

Initial training and work schedule at The Container Store’s corporate office; potential to work from home in a dedicated home office workspace

Ability to travel 2% a year, based on the business needs

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner

Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs

Knowledge of retail industry business and passion for following trends in the industry

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization

Ability to quickly separate the mission‑critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value‑added projects of the day or week

Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge

Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once

Possesses focused attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure
