Program and Role Summary
Our statewide Foster Care and Adoption programs match children and youth displaced from homes due to abuse or neglect with families that can provide safe, caring homes. Wayfinder recruits, trains and certifies resource (foster) families, some of whom ultimately adopt the children they foster. We emphasize child permanency, which can be reunification with birth parents, living with relatives, adoption, or guardianship.
The primary focus of the Program Supervisor is to direct supervision of day‑to‑day operations and program staff and maintain professional standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervises staff in areas of program management; supervised staff may include social workers, case managers, interns, volunteers, and administrative support staff.
Conducts regular supervision with social workers to discuss specific case needs, treatment plans, assessment of families, records, mandated CCL and county documentation and reporting requirements, and work performance.
Regularly reviews staff reports and case files to ensure CCL regulation compliance and agency policies and procedures are maintained.
Establishes positive working relationships with county and community partners.
Maintains knowledge of compliance with adoption regulations, FFA ILS, Title 22, FFA MOUs, COA, and contracts.

Qualifications and Education
A master's degree or higher from an accredited or state‑approved graduate school in social work or social welfare, marriage, family, and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology, social psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology, education with an emphasis on counseling, or an area that qualifies for licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
At least two years of relevant child welfare experience.
Supervisory experience, preferred.
California LCSW desirable.
Knowledge of clinical assessment skills and interventions.
Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of three (3) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles.

Salary: $82,000 - $86,000 per year.
