Job Summary:
TheDesigner Isupports project teams through all project phases. Ideal for recent grads or emerging professionals pursuing architectural licensure (AXP). Working under senior guidance, this role offers hands‑on experience in design, documentation, coordination, and client support within a collaborative studio.
Responsibilities
Contribute to early-stagedesign ideation, renderings, diagrams, and presentation graphics for client and permitting agencies
Assist in preparing architectural drawings and documentation across Programming,Schematic Design,Design Development, andConstruction Documents Phases
Research building codes, zoning analysis, and product research to support design decisions and documentation
Collaborate withProject Architects,Project Managers, and external consultants (structural, MEP, civil) to resolve design issues
Participate ininternal design reviews, charrettes, and coordination sessions
Maintain organized project documentation and file structure in alignment with firm standards
Assist in the ongoing improvement of drawing templates and documentation tools
Proactively learn new tools, procedures, and professional practices as part of career development
Software Proficiency Required or Preferred
BIM & CAD Tools: AutodeskRevit(required), SketchUp and AutoCAD
Rendering & Visualization: SketchUp Lumion
Project Collaboration & Management:
Autodesk Construction Cloudand Bluebeam Revu
Graphic & Documentation Tools:
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited institution
0–3 years of professional experience in an architecture firm or internship
Actively involvement inNCARB AXPprogram and scheduled path to licensure
Strong computing skills in architectural modeling, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Suite, Lumion, and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication, attention to detail, and capacity to receive mentorship
Strong organizational skills, accountability, and responsiveness to feedback
A portfolio demonstrating a balance of design creativity and technical skill
Interest or Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
Commercial, Civic, Healthcare
K–12 / DSA Education
Religious / Cultural institutions
