Student Musician for Orchestra & Worship Team

The high school or college-aged musician will provide musical support for the Choir and Orchestra within the Music & Worship Ministry.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide instrumental ministry support related to the duties of the Instrumental Music MinistryAttend regular Wednesday night rehearsals (6:30 – 8:30 PM)Play in all Sunday rehearsals and worship services with the First Dallas Orchestra (8:15 AM – 12:15 PM)Participate in special services and musical events in which the First Dallas Orchestra is involvedFollow standard, professional orchestra etiquette (i.e., arrive early and musically prepared, be attentive and engaged, respect all orchestra members, communicate absences and schedule conflicts, follow the dress code, etc.)Perform all other duties assigned by the Associate Minister of Instrumental Music and ConcertmasterSpiritualFully committed to the Mission and Core Values of First Baptist DallasFully committed to the Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, and overall church ministryFully committed to biblical Christian principles and teachings professionally and personallyFully committed to demonstrating characteristics that reflect a person of faith and a lifestyle of biblical integrityProfessional & Education (Certifications or Licenses)Embody the Green Team Characteristics and work according to Operating PrinciplesMust be a High School Student or College Student pursuing a degree in MusicMust possess a high standard of ensemble participationDemonstrates a high level of musical proficiency in playing an instrumentDemonstrates strong musical leadership qualitiesAudition may be requiredPhysicalAbility to sit and stand for 2-4 hoursAbility to play a musical instrument for extended periods of time
