The Times-Picayune is seeking a general assignment reporter to join our news desk in New Orleans. For this swing-shift role, we’re looking for someone driven to be first and best when big stories break and who will also strive for evocative, surprising enterprise stories in and around New Orleans.

Responsibilities

Cover traditional breaking news topics such as public safety, weather, and city government.

Research and write evocative, surprising enterprise stories about the people shaping our city and region.

Lead reporting on big news during weekend shifts and other odd hours.
