Electrical BIM Modeler II

Summary
With minimal supervision, the Electrical BIM Modeler II performs routine to moderately difficult power distribution, lighting, security, IT, fire alarm, and low‑voltage systems design and drafting assignments in engineering services to support architects in the overall building design process. These assignments require applying fundamental design techniques following Company and industry standards and codes.
The Electrical BIM Modeler II position provides exceptional service by drafting standard details and modeling electrical or technology system components for complex projects.
Responsibilities
Use REVIT MEP to perform modeling tasks and generate construction documents as assigned by engineers and project managers.
Communicate directly with the project team to coordinate conflicts and discrepancies during the design process.
Identify and correct any potential clashes between MEP disciplines and other trades.
Collaborate directly with Architects and consultants to coordinate design deadlines and project needs.
Perform tasks related to the construction administration process at the direction of the project managers.
Required Skills and Abilities
2‑5 years minimum experience in an architectural/engineering design field preferred.
Proven capabilities and expertise in AutoCAD, REVIT MEP, and content creation.
Provide Quality Drawings.
Able to set up projects in Revit and work in existing models.
Modify and Create details.
Spatial Coordination between disciplines.
Modify and Create Families.
Use/apply filters.
Masterworks, Mail Manager, FTP functions.
LOD levels 100 & 200.
Cloud Modeling and Setup in BIM 360.
Submittal Reviews.
File Management/Folder Structure.
Schedules and Master shared parameter files.
Printing using Bluebeam.
Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to communicate with Engineers and Architectural clients promptly and professionally.
Work well under pressure with constant variations in priority and tasks.
Flexibility in hours and willingness to work overtime to complete project deadlines.
Proficiency in Navisworks management and conflict resolution.
Design problem-solving.
Capable of taking project design to 100% with little direction.
Education and Experience
Degree or Certification in the field of Computer Aided Drafting and Modeling.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
