As a Technical Editor on our team, you bring process management and technical editing skills to help your client's naval organization grow while also identifying areas for improvement. Your analytical problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail enable you to effectively communicate insights, findings, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
You work with a team focused on naval capability development to provide quality, consistency, and accuracy of analytical reports and processes in alignment with naval executive reporting standards. By maintaining these high standards, your contributions ensure naval experiments are translated into actionable intelligence for leadership.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with naval stakeholders to edit and improve technical documentation, including after‑action reports, DoD applications, and mission reports.
Manage approval processes for documentation and ensure compliance with DoD and Navy writing standards.
Analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and create process maps using tools such as Visio.
Qualifications
3+ years of technical editing experience.
Experience working with the front office of a military staff.
Experience writing and editing and managing approval processes for technical documentation for DoD applications, missions, or initiatives such as after‑action reports.
Experience with business process analysis and process improvement methodologies, including creating process maps.
Knowledge of DoD or Navy writing standards and military terminology.
Ability to edit content from multiple contributors to ensure consistent voice, compelling messaging, and a lack of spelling, formatting, and grammatical errors.
Ability to manage a varied workload and balance numerous priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
Secret clearance required.
Bachelor's degree.

Experience with stakeholder analysis, formulating improvements, implementing changes, and developing training materials.
Experience using AI tools to assist with writing and editing technical documentation.
Experience with process improvement methodologies.
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
TS/SCI clearance.
Master's degree.
Lean, Six Sigma, BPR, BPM, Kaizen, or RIE certification.
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance required. TS/SCI preferred.
Compensation
Salary range: $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, and work‑life programs.
