Company Description EPIC Pickleball Club is an indoor pickleball facility set to open its doors in the winter of 2026 right here in Lincoln, NE. We're passionate about the sport, our members, and building an energetic brand that reflects the fun, competitive, and welcoming spirit of pickleball. Whether it's open play, tournaments, or social events, our club is a place where athletes of all levels come to play, connect, and grow.
We're on a mission to grow our online presence and bring that same energy to our social media channels — and we need a talented, enthusiastic intern to help us make it happen!
Role Description This isn't a "make coffee and answer emails" internship. You'll have real creative ownership over our social channels, build a portfolio of published content, and gain hands-on experience with a growing sports brand — all while being part of a fun, welcoming community.
As our Digital Marketing/Social Media Intern, you'll play an active role in shaping EPIC Pickleball Club's voice online. Your responsibilities will include:
Plan, create, and schedule engaging content for Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok
Design eye-catching graphics and short-form videos using Canva and similar tools
Write captions, craft hashtags, and actively engage with followers and comments
Photograph and film content at the club during events, open play sessions, and tournaments
Maintain a weekly content calendar and consistently meet posting deadlines
Track engagement metrics (likes, reach, follower growth) and provide simple weekly performance reports
Brainstorm and develop seasonal campaigns, promotions, and member spotlight features
The Digital Marketing Intern is a flexible part-time (approximately 10 hours/week to start), hybrid on-site/remote role based in Lincoln, NE.
Qualifications Required Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media , or related program (junior or senior preferred)
Knowledge of Social Media Marketing, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Ability to use or learn Web Analytics tools to track performance, interpret data, and report on key metrics.
Clear written and verbal Communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels - you can write in a fun, authentic, on-brand voice
Basic graphic design skills (Canva experience is a strong plus)
Self-starter who is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Bonus Points You play pickleball — or you're genuinely excited to learn the game and the culture!
Experience with video editing tools (CapCut, InShot, or similar)
Previous social media management or content creation experience (personal accounts count!)
You can assist with printed materials as well.
