Marketing & Communications Specialist – Independent Distributor Ownership Center

Position Summary
The Independent Distributor Ownership Center (IDOC) Marketing & Communications Specialist will play a central role in advancing the strategy, visibility, and impact of the IDOC. This role will partner closely with key consultants and internal stakeholders to develop and execute marketing and communications initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption across the AD Member community, while also supporting program delivery, member engagement, and continuous improvement of the IDOC experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Partner with key consultants to help shape and advance the overall strategy of the IDOC, enhancing value and engagement for AD members

In collaboration with the AD Marketing team, develop and execute marketing and communications initiatives that promote the IDOC and drive awareness, engagement, and adoption across the AD Member community

Own and maintain the IDOC Salesforce-based website, including content updates, resource organization, and coordination with internal teams and external partners

Coordinate with subject matter experts and external partners to support the development and publication of IDOC content, assessments, and member resources

Support member engagement by facilitating appropriate peer connections and networking opportunities aligned with family-business needs and program objectives

Plan and support member-facing educational programming (e.g., webinars, roundtables, forums), including coordination, communications, and facilitation support

Develop pre- and post-program communications to reinforce key insights and encourage continued engagement with the IDOC

Track member progress and program impact through online assessment tools and peer network participation, and deliver regular reporting to demonstrate IDOC effectiveness, outcomes, and areas for improvement

Manage IDOC-related communications and presence at AD meetings, summits, and events, collaborating with internal stakeholders as needed

Collaborate cross-functionally with AD Marketing, IT, and Member Programs teams to ensure brand alignment, operational consistency, and continuous improvement of the IDOC experience

Perform other duties, as assigned, to support the growth, adoption, and long‑term sustainability of the IDOC

Other projects and tasks as may be assigned by the Director, Corporate Development or the CFO

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communications

Strong project management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal skills and an upbeat and enthusiastic “can‑do” attitude

Self‑starter with ability to simultaneously manage multiple requests in a fast‑paced evolving environment and work effectively under tight deadlines

Goal and results oriented, demonstrating resourcefulness in solving problems

Ability to develop and sustain strong positive relationships – with members, partners, service providers and internally with AD Associates

Ability to understand and leverage data and analytics to uncover insights and communicate a story that compels action

Ability to collaborate and gain consensus at all levels of the organization

Ability to quickly learn new tools and technology

Qualifications

5+ years of marketing and communications experience, with preference for program, partnership, or member-based marketing in a B2B environment

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, with the ability to produce clear, polished, member‑ and executive‑facing materials

Experience supporting virtual engagement platforms (e.g., Zoom) for webinars, peer forums, or member events

Hands‑on experience with Salesforce (or willingness to learn), including the ability to update, manage, and maintain a Salesforce-based website; familiarity with Pardot or similar marketing automation tools is a plus

Demonstrated ability to support member engagement and adoption initiatives, including coordinating peer connections and working across internal and external stakeholders

Additional Comments

Business Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (some overtime is required)

Position is based in Wayne, PA where we have a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office (Tuesdays–Thursdays in office & Mondays and Fridays remote)

Travel: 2-4 trips per year (3-5 days per trip)
