Position Summary

The Engagement Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations, programming, and strategic direction of the HUB, with a strong emphasis on youth engagement, workforce development, and job readiness. This role integrates workforce development programming, educational programming, employment readiness, and client engagement into a cohesive service model that supports youth in achieving self‑sufficiency.
The Engagement Manager provides direct supervision to Workforce Development Coaches, HUB Care specialist, and Client Engagement Specialist, oversees job training and workforce initiatives, and ensures the HUB operates as a dynamic, structured, and engaging environment. This position also guides youth advocacy efforts, including Youth Action Board (YAB) engagement, and builds strong community partnerships to expand opportunities for clients.
Duties & Responsibilities

HUB Leadership & Program Management

Oversees daily HUB operations to ensure a safe, welcoming, structured, and engaging environment for clients.
Develops, implements, and continuously improves integrated programming that includes job readiness, education, and workforce development.
Maintains a visible presence in the HUB to build relationships, increase participation, and connect clients to services.
Manages staff scheduling and ensures appropriate program coverage at all times.
Collaborates with shelter, housing, outreach, and clinical services to align services with client needs.
Workforce Development & Job Readiness

Leads workforce development programming focused on employment readiness, job skills training, and career exploration.
Oversees career coaching to help clients identify goals, develop employment plans, and achieve financial stability.
Develops and facilitates workshops on resume building, interviewing, workplace readiness, and professional development.
Builds and maintains relationships with employers and community partners to create job opportunities for clients.
Oversees workforce coaches, assigns caseloads, and monitors progress toward employment outcomes.
Tracks and reports on job placement outcomes, participation, and program success metrics.
HUB Programming & Client Engagement

Develops and manages a comprehensive monthly HUB calendar with a balance of educational, workforce, and recreational activities.
Coordinates workshops, job readiness sessions, partner-led programming, and special events.
Oversees logistics including scheduling, materials, space setup, and participant engagement.
Ensures programming is responsive to youth interests, feedback, and workforce trends.
Youth Advocacy & Leadership Development

Leads and supports the Client Engagement Specialist, responsible for Youth Action Board (YAB) recruitment, engagement, and participation.
Aids in the facilitation of youth voice opportunities, including listening sessions and feedback forums.
Promotes youth leadership, peer mentorship, and self‑advocacy within HUB programming.
Tracks engagement and outcomes in alignment with program and grant requirements.
Partnerships & Community Engagement

Builds and maintains partnerships with employers, training providers, community organizations, and volunteers.
Serves as the primary liaison for HUB programming partners and workforce stakeholders.
Coordinates volunteers supporting both HUB engagement and workforce activities.
Expands opportunities for job placements, internships, mentorships, and skill‑building experiences.
Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, sociology, education, business management, or a related field.
LSW license preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in youth services, workforce development, behavioral health services, or social services field required.
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience managing others required.
Experience working with youth and young adults experiencing homelessness or housing instability preferred.
Experience with job training programs, youth employment, or at‑risk populations preferred.
