Protestant Worship Leader Pianist, Keyboardist or Guitarist at Music Ministry In

Responsibilities

Serve as a resource, advisor, and coordinator for Protestant worship service music at Mountain Home AFB chapel.

Consult and coordinate with the chaplain sponsor and chapel staff.

Plan, prepare, rehearse, and perform worship services—including two regular services and occasional special services.

Ensure services do not exceed ten hours per week and submit a monthly work schedule for approval.

Provide qualified substitutes and give two‑week notice for extended absences (more than three days).

Qualifications

Minimum one year experience leading Protestant worship services in contemporary, gospel, or liturgical settings.

Ability to sight‑read music, sing, and play piano, keyboard, organ, or guitar.

Residence within a 75‑mile radius of Mountain Home AFB.

Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.

Professional appearance in business casual attire; suitable for a pluralistic environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and compliant with computer security and copyright requirements.

Additional Requirements
The Worship Leader must work unsupervised, maintain professional relationships with staff and congregation, keep the chapel and instruments orderly, enforce safety protocols, and sign the chapel facility usage, security, key control, and safety letter.

Work Schedule
Plan and rehearse at least one hour per week; attend two regular worship services and occasional special services; total hours shall not exceed ten per week; submit a monthly schedule and give advance notice for extended absences.
