The Director of Product Marketing will lead the strategy and execution of marketing initiatives that drive adoption and growth of i‑Ready’s assessment solutions. This role is critical in shaping how our assessment products are positioned in the K–12 market and ensuring educators and administrators understand the value of our offerings. You will serve as the hub, connecting Product Management, Sales, Service and other Marketing teams to deliver compelling propositions, strategies, messaging and go‑to‑market strategies that support our mission to improve student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and Own Product Positioning & Messaging:

Craft clear, differentiated positioning and messaging for i‑Ready’s assessment and instructional solutions that resonate with educators, administrators, and district leaders.
Lead Go‑to‑Market Strategy:

Drive launch plans for new products and features, ensuring cross‑functional alignment and successful execution.
Market & Competitive Analysis:

Conduct research on EdTech trends, K–12 customer needs, and competitive landscape; translate insights into actionable strategies.
Sales Enablement:

Build tools, training, and content that empower Sales teams to effectively communicate product value and close deals.
Content Strategy:

Oversee creation of product‑related content (web, collateral, presentations, case studies) to support demand generation and thought leadership.
Customer Advocacy:

Partner with Customer Success to identify and showcase educator and district success stories that demonstrate product impact.
Performance Measurement:

Define KPIs for product marketing initiatives and report on effectiveness to senior leadership.
Leadership & Team Development:

Manage and mentor a team of product marketers, fostering growth and professional development.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

Drive collaboration and influence stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment on product strategy and messaging, championing a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the marketing organization.
Qualifications

Extensive experience in product marketing, portfolio marketing, or go‑to‑market leadership.
Strong ability to translate research, data, and market insights into clear, compelling assessment narratives.
Proven success leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives in matrixed organizations.
Experience owning product launches and sales enablement for sophisticated or research‑backed products.
Analytical mindset with experience defining KPIs and using performance data to guide decisions.
People leadership experience, with a focus on coaching, strategic growth, and high standards.
Experience in education, assessment, ed‑tech, or research‑driven environments strongly preferred.
8+ years in product marketing or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
Proven experience in the EdTech sector, with a strong understanding of K–12 education markets, buyer personas, and procurement cycles.
Preferred: Experience in the K‑12 assessment market, with a strong understanding of assessment buyer personas, procurement cycles and offerings.
Strategic thinking, storytelling, and analytical skills; ability to influence cross‑functional teams and lead high‑performing teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA a plus.
