Job Description
The Senior Content Marketing Specialist is a key contributor to Vertafore’s marketing initiatives, driving engagement and growth through high‑performing, strategically aligned content. As part of the Carrier Demand Generation Marketing team, you will manage the full content lifecycle—from ideation and storytelling to creation and optimization across channels. You will craft compelling narratives that increase awareness, build trust, and support demand generation goals while using emerging technologies such as generative AI.

Core Responsibilities

Implement and support content strategy that engages and educates the carrier audience across all buyer‑journey stages.

Write, edit, and optimize copy across ads, emails, blogs, presentations, reports, eBooks, scripts, infographics, webpages, and landing pages.

Partner with the creative team to guide visual storytelling, ensuring content design captures attention, builds trust, and drives action.

Use data and analytics to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and improve content effectiveness.

Coordinate timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables to support successful, on‑time content delivery.

Audit and enhance existing content, identify gaps, and repurpose assets to maintain relevance.

Monitor industry insights, competitor activity, and emerging topics to inform content and inspire new ideas.

Maintain brand voice and quality, ensuring consistency across all content.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with SMEs, product marketing, demand generation, digital, and design to align content with campaigns and strategic priorities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Experience contributing to content strategy and delivery in B2B SaaS marketing.

Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.

Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and committed to high‑quality deliverables.

Collaborative mindset with strong cross‑functional communication skills.

Experience using project management tools (e.g., Wrike, Asana) to coordinate workflows and manage timelines.

Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content structure for discoverability in search, including AI/LLM‑driven environments.

Solid understanding of the buyer’s journey and the role of content at each stage.

Ability to follow brand guidelines for tone and voice.

Data‑informed approach with a willingness to test, learn, and optimize.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in communications, English, journalism, marketing, or a related field.

3+ years of experience writing for content marketing, preferably in B2B software or technology.

Experience writing for senior‑level audiences with an understanding of the buyer’s journey.

Experience in the financial or insurance industry is a plus; curiosity and rapid learning are highly valued.

Experience developing and optimizing content while considering the influence of AI and large language models on search, discovery, and engagement.

Additional Requirements

Travel required up to 10% of the time.

Located and working from an office location when required.

Occasional lifting or moving up to 10 pounds.

Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
