The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Supervisor to support the daily operations of our Adult Day Services program in Tuckerton. This position plays an important role in helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve greater independence, develop vocational skills, and actively participate in their communities.

Working alongside program leadership, the Assistant Supervisor helps ensure quality service delivery, supports staff members, and promotes individualized programming designed to foster personal growth and meaningful outcomes for program participants.

Position Details

Location: Tuckerton, NJ

Schedule: Monday‑Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $26 per hour

Bi‑weekly pay schedule

Overtime opportunities available

Primary Responsibilities

Assist with the oversight and coordination of daily program operations and activities

Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving personal, vocational, and independent living goals

Provide guidance and support to program staff while helping ensure quality service delivery

Assist with monitoring individualized service plans and participant progress

Review documentation and program records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with agency standards

Help coordinate community‑based activities, vocational experiences, and skill‑building opportunities

Promote a safe, supportive, and person‑centered environment for all individuals served

Collaborate with families, support coordinators, community organizations, and funding sources to support successful outcomes

Assist with staff scheduling, communication, and operational needs as directed by program leadership

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Special Education, or a related field required

Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a direct support, vocational, or day program setting

Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing with no more than five (5) points

Experience supporting staff, coordinating program activities, and assisting with operational functions preferred

Ability to successfully complete required background screenings and maintain compliance with agency drug testing requirements
