POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for day‑to‑day site operations, including supervising warehousing, receiving, and shipping of product. The role plans inbound and outbound volume, communicates with customers, manages space utilization and equipment, and executes people management responsibilities such as hiring, training, labor planning, performance appraisals, and problem resolution. The Operations Manager ensures compliance with safety, quality, and company policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and implements systems and procedures for safe, profitable operations in accordance with company policies and client SLAs.
Achieves productivity and service goals, driving continuous improvement and cost savings.
Maintains client KPIs and satisfies quality system requirements.
Applies sound communication and motivational techniques to supervise and discipline team members fairly.
Collaborates with Human Resources to create hiring, training, and professional development programs.
Communicates critical operational issues to senior management and client representatives.
Plans daily work schedules, assigning duties based on priorities and available resources.
Evaluates volume demands to reorganize warehouse space and adjust supplies, equipment, or staffing.
Ensures effective training and SOP adherence for team members.
Maintains motivation and high customer satisfaction through continual growth opportunities.
Supports adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conducts routine staff meetings.
Implements Management Information Systems, ensuring proper training on WMS and other required technologies.
Manages high‑level customer service standards, maintains contact with all functions, and leads meetings with key customers.
Supports budget development, controls service levels, and monitors financial performance against cost, revenue, and profit targets.
Maintains equipment, facilities, and sanitation standards, ensuring MHE safety training.
Achieves safety metrics and fosters a proactive safety culture, auditing for compliance and statutory requirements.
Work overtime as dictated by business; performs other duties as assigned.
Manages warehouse operations supervisors and support staff.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 7 years of logistics/distribution experience.
Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role.
Ability to work in unregulated temperatures; comfortable with warm and cold months ranging from mild to moderate.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of applicable WMS systems.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
English: reading, writing, speaking.
Proficiency in business communication at all levels.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Occasional handling and fingering; frequent bending; constant walking and standing.
Can lift 21‑50 pounds, reach and squat as required.
Work environment has low to moderate noise and minimal exposure to chemicals.

PAYMENT & BENEFITS
Base pay range: $75,800.00 – $96,500.00 (actual compensation based on experience, skills, education, and location).
