You set the bar for visual excellence, cultivate a culture of craft, and develop the next generation of creative talent. You are a decisive creative leader, trusted client partner, and connect visual decisions to brand strategy and measurable business impact. You embrace AI as an enabler to your process and collaborate with your team to make your vision tangible.

The work:

In this role you will have accountability across three dimensions:

Client Delivery

  • Lead the visual design direction on engagements from concept through delivery, ensuring quality, aesthetic cohesion, and project timelines.

  • Translate abstract briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into clear, compelling visual languages.

  • Set high visual craft standards for brand identities, design systems, motion, typography, illustration, and digital experiences.

  • Balance visionary leadership with hands‑on output, shaping key decisions and producing high‑quality work.

  • Use AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production while showcasing how they enhance creative thinking.

  • Serve as a leading creative voice in client discussions, translating design rationale into strategic narratives.

Business Development

  • Document how AI transforms visual design workflows and quantify its impact on delivery quality and team performance.

  • Contribute to proposals, create case studies, and translate project learnings into thought leadership that showcases our visual design capabilities.

  • Identify and shape new creative opportunities with existing clients, partnering with account leads to build compelling points of view.

People & Practice Development

  • Manage, support, and mentor team members, helping them grow visual craft, develop confidence, navigate challenges, and evolve as designers.

  • Share methods, creative references, and project outcomes to advance the Visual Design discipline.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 7+ years of visual design experience across industries, platforms, and visual contexts.

  • 4+ years of leading end‑to‑end visual design engagements, from concept to production‑ready delivery.

  • Experience directing brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a consistent visual voice.

  • Produced pixel‑perfect, developer‑ready deliverables with exceptional attention to detail.

  • 3+ years of coaching visual designers, nurturing independent creative practitioners.

  • Embedded AI tools and workflows into design practices from concept generation to rapid iteration.

  • Hands‑on experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Claude Design, motion and illustration tools.

  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to present visual strategy to senior stakeholders under pressure.

  • Bonus: Fluency in brand strategy, service design, content design, or self‑directed skill expansion.

  • Bonus: Experience with practice‑level initiatives, craft assets, onboarding, or community forums.
