Job Summary/Description
HNN has an immediate opening for a news videographer to join our team. Must be willing to embrace emerging technology, such as smartphone live capabilities and digital editing. Must be able to carry 50 lbs. a minimum of five (5) feet. The successful candidate is a team player, reliable with initiative, and has excellent communication skills. Must be able to troubleshoot on the fly and problem solve under pressure.

Duties/Responsibilities

Responsible for shooting and editing video and sound for all Hawaii News Now multimedia platforms

Must display competence in videography and video editing

Must be capable of gathering news as part of a team or on your own

Responsible for maintaining assigned gear, operating ENG trucks and bonded cellular live devices (Live U)

Posting on all Hawaii News Now digital platforms, editing digital video, as well as operating other mobile live devices

Driving a company vehicle and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

1-2 years of experience as a television photographer / editor in a top 125 market

Flexible work hours required; must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, weekends and possible overtime hours.

Must be willing to work in Honolulu, HI

Good driving record and drug screen are required.
