Page Six Reporter (Temporary)

Job Description Page Six Digital is hiring a temporary Reporter (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm EST), expected to run through September. The role focuses on pitching and writing celebrity and entertainment stories, capturing fast‑moving social media trends, and driving the conversation that audiences will be talking about tomorrow.
This position is open to candidates based in New York City or Los Angeles.
Responsibilities Pitch and write several celebrity- and entertainment‑based stories quickly and with clean copy daily.
Proactively seek out and uncover under‑the‑radar stories that resonate with the Page Six audience.
Maintain a finger on the pulse of what fans are talking about on social media and create content that fits their interests.
Expand Page Six’s nighttime news coverage by monitoring social media and using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Parse.ly, etc.) to achieve success.
Be a self‑starter and think quickly on your feet, multitasking in a fast‑paced news environment.
Apply an understanding of SEO best practices and analytics to guide coverage.
Qualifications At least two years of major journalism experience.
A deep understanding of and passion for all things celebrity and entertainment.
Exceptional writing and reporting skills.
Ability to write succinct, eye‑catching headlines and clean, ready‑to‑publish content.
Knowledge and understanding of SEO best practices.
Strong editorial judgment and communication skills.
Familiarity with content management systems (Wordpress, in particular), photo‑editing software, and web analytics tools.
Flexibility to cover live pop culture events (e.g., Oscars, Golden Globes) and work outside traditional business hours when needed.
Schedule & Compensation Mon‑Fri, 9am‑5pm EST. This is a temporary engagement. Base pay range: $30‑$40 per hour.
