Senior Software Engineer

We are looking to add a Senior Software Engineer in our Mission Planning Department.
DS2 provides full life-cycle software engineering services to DoW, federal, and commercial clients. You must be a U.S. Citizen and able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Responsibilities — What you'll do:
Play a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and demonstrating feature-rich applications and R&D projects
Work on the Next-Generation Open Mission Planning System for the DoW
Articulate the long-term vision for projects and translate it into detailed features and feasible software designs
Develop the architectural runway necessary for large solutions
Learn emerging technologies and programming tools to keep you and your team as well equipped as possible
Required Qualifications — We need someone who:
Has a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field and 15 years of experience
Actively programs with one or more of the following languages: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Typescript
Demonstrates strong fundamental skills in software design and development and the ability to coordinate the team's workflow
Engages with teammates, both virtually and face-to-face, to plan projects, seek out or provide help on issues, as well as present solutions to clients
Manages time well and can prioritize tasks to ensure projects are completed on time
Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
Preferred Qualifications — It's even better if you:
Have experience using Web frameworks such as React, Node.js, Vue.js, Next.js, ASP.NET, or Angular
Have experience developing containerized microservices in a Kubernetes environment
Have a background in developing mission planning applications for the DoW
Have examples of code or applications you've built that we can check out
Are proficient with multiple IDEs, Languages, or Frameworks
Have a background taking an entire development through launch
Can demonstrate proficiency with AI-Assisted software development workflows
Received one or more Scrum, Microsoft, Google Developer certifications or any other technical certifications
