The role
We are looking for an Editor to join our Consumer Lifestyle team. This role will focus on technology trends, covering topics including artificial intelligence, consumer electronics, mobility and more. You’ll investigate how technology intersects with larger concerns, such as wellness, sustainability and inclusivity. If you’re interested in exploring technology from a consumer behaviour lens, then you’re in the right place. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic researcher, writer and editor with strong writing skills, deep cultural curiosity, and the desire to get under the skin of a broad range of brand and consumer-related subjects. This position is open to candidates in New York.

What You’ll Be Doing

Write short- and long-form articles about trending topics in technology for a B2B audience

Stay up-to-date on consumer technology trends

Research for short- and long-form articles

Pitch ideas for short- and long-form content

Think strategically about how technology trends influence consumer behaviour and reveal new commercial opportunities

Commission and edit articles

Interview industry experts for long-form articles

Communicate with a hybrid global team (based in New York & London)

Upload articles to our proprietary CMS, including sourcing images

We’ll Sometimes Ask You To

Attend industry trade shows and conferences to learn about emerging trends (occasionally involving travel)

Contribute to wider consumer lifestyle reporting and projects

Attend meetings with clients

Give presentations to client and public audiences

What We Are Looking For

Strong writing, analysis and editorial skills

A keen interest in technology and exploring how it shapes and guides consumer behaviours

Desire to engage in critical, analytical thinking about technology and its future impact

Understanding how to source and use the best data and statistics to validate content

Ability to succinctly and clearly explain complex topics to a business audience

A good visual eye with an ability to source compelling imagery

Ability to quickly learn our company style guide and adapt writing accordingly

Genuine curiosity (and excitement) about the future
