What You Will Do
Operate painting equipment and auxiliary equipment.
Test and mix paint as required.
Keep paint pots supplied with paint of correct quality.
Start up and shut down the equipment as required.
Observe rods on conveyors as they pass through the unit, culling out crooked rods.
Keep rods separated and packaged for each separate size and grade. Paint identification color on protectors.
Responsible for quality and quantity of work helpers.
Obtain reasonable production with minimum supervision.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
Inform supervisor of any malfunction of equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
Two year technical degree or equivalent education and/or experience. Valid driver’s license in state of residence required.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly, and 100 lbs occasionally.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Employee is required to occasionally walk in customer field locations which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.
Employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push.
Employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
