Oxford Financial Group is seeking Managing Directors in any of our offices. Successful candidates will generate new clients through business development activities and provide excellent client service for established Oxford CIO clients.ResponsibilitiesLead client engagements and deliver effective and appropriate investment advice.Serve as lead relationship manager or co‑lead relationship manager with another Managing Director.Serve as back‑up MD to relationship manager when needed.Communicate with clients in a clear and timely manner.Listen well to client issues and complaints; follow up appropriately.Maintain professional credentials and develop individual technical knowledge.Proactively communicate, educate, and build consensus about investments appropriate for clients to consider.Understand client goals/objectives, time frames and risk tolerances.Assist in implementation of techniques with clients and advisors.Meet with clients regularly.Understand Oxford’s FOS and TCO offerings and effectively integrate them into solutions.Be responsible for highly organized practice management activities.Prepare meeting agendas and review meeting files prior to client meetings.Return client phone calls/emails within 24 hours.Manage client meeting follow‑up letters and oversee delegation within the group.Review client deliverables for accuracy, timelines and appearance.Master the Oxford Way and establish a spirit of teamwork and respect with operational teams within the firm.Manage and prioritize workload.Enter time accurately and consistently in the TimeTracker system.Manage billings with clients according to procedures.Attend CIO MD meetings and Joint MD meetings regularly.Grow the Oxford client base through strategic and consistent business development activities.Pursue new client leads locally and in assigned markets.Execute Oxford’s formal practice development strategy and process.Communicate OFG/TCO story to prospects and advisors.Identify opportunities for referrals to OFG.Develop strong relationships with client advisors.Create, implement and update an individual business development plan.Participate in Practice Management meetings and training programs.Work closely with the Chief Practice Development Officer on new opportunities.Make joint calls with OFG personnel.Perform other duties as assigned.Travel as business needs necessitate – approximately 4‑6 nights per month.Work moderate periods of sitting utilizing a computer.QualificationsBachelor’s or master’s degree in Business or related field; CFA certification preferred.Minimum of ten years’ experience in financial services industry with direct client responsibility.Strong working knowledge of investment consulting and high net worth wealth planning techniques.Proven track record of consistent business development.Professional demeanor with the utmost respect for confidential matters.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.Ability to multi‑task.Ability to work in a high‑stress, fast‑paced environment.Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
