Description

What You'll Do:
Assure surfaces meet required blast profiles
Mix paints/coating per specifications
Operate conventional and airless spray equipment to apply primers, intermediate and final coating in alkyds, epoxies and water borne paint systems
Test millage of coatings (wet and dry)
Oil and clean pumps
Clean paint lines and guns and perform other cleaning/preventative maintenance to ensure that painting apparatus remain in working order
Consistently achieves proper dry film thickness and defect-free paint jobs with no holidays, pinholes, sags, runs or orange peel
Other job duties as assigned

High School or better.
Experience

Required

Experience performing splicing and feathering process to meet quality standards. Experience applying all kinds of coating and applies prime and finish coat on industrial products. Experience reading and successfully interpreting general notes and drawings. Thorough knowledge of safety and paint equipment including sizing tips, pump pressures, re-coat times and effects of weather on any applicable paint system. Maintain reliable and predictable good attendance.
