Eastside Music Minister

Position Summary
At Northwest Gospel Church, we sing in response to God’s Word and His work in our lives. The Music Minister is the primary leader of the music team at NGC: Eastside, responsible for equipping and developing our volunteer musicians, leading Sunday gatherings, and fostering a culture of creativity that reflects the gifts God has given our church family. The Music Minister reports to the Executive Pastor of Ministries. NGC: Eastside has a music team of 50+ volunteer musicians who serve in our Sunday gatherings. We value creativity and aim to use the strengths of our band members, rather than simply being a cover band trying to replicate the original recording. Over the past decade, we have released 10 singles/albums of original music, and lean into the creativity of our musicians and songwriters. Our vision is to foster an environment where the creativity of our volunteers is on display and used for God’s glory and the building up of the church.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the music team for NGC: Eastside, equipping volunteer musicians.

Lead Sunday gatherings and coordinate worship planning with other ministry teams.

Foster a culture of creativity reflecting the gifts of the church family.

Collaborate with the Executive Pastor of Ministries on vision and strategy.

Oversee, mentor, and expand a 50+ member volunteer music team.

Encourage original music creativity and songwriting within the team.

Compensation and Benefits
The hiring range for this position is $70,000–$100,000/year and will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. This position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plan participation, paid time off, and other employee benefits.
