Senior Researcher, Series Editor

Responsibilities

Oversee the development and publication of the “Trouble the Land” series for Southern Spaces

Coordinate and manage collaboration among the Southern Spaces senior editor and graduate student editorial and research staff

Conduct original historical research and curate archival and multimedia materials relevant to the civil rights movement

Identify, evaluate, and secure intellectual property and usage rights for media

Oversee and manage the project budget

Guide editorial development, ensuring scholarly accuracy

Conduct archival research and travel as required

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or a related field

Five years of experience as an editor or an equivalent combination of directly related training and experience
