Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a dynamic Film Publicity Coordinator to support the Film PR Teams in Culver City, California. The ideal candidate will serve as a crucial member of the team supporting our publicity teams across global film campaigns, leading in all logistics from production through release. They have strong administrative and organizational skills, excel in internal and external communications, can anticipate needs, identify potential challenges before they arise, and maintain composure while juggling multiple high-priority tasks at once. This role requires a balance of detail orientation and adaptability, managing meticulous logistics while remaining responsive in a fast-paced environment. The coordinator will work independently, take initiative, and maintain the highest level of professionalism when interacting with high-profile filmmakers, talent and sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and maintain all team and key department documents, including agendas, film contact sheets, reaction memos, event calendars, and budget trackers.

Coordinate all team calls with internal and external partners, including agencies and talent reps/publicists.

Work with the travel team to organize all filmmaker and talent travel.

Create, update, and circulate travel itineraries across all campaigns, making real-time adjustments as necessary.

Open and oversee budgets and PO requests for all campaign-related costs (talent travel, glam/styling, external screening bookings, agency fees, and expenses); monitor invoice submission to ensure timely vendor reimbursement.

Arrange internal and external screenings; spearhead delivery of DCPs/film content and distribute links when applicable.

Compile and circulate daily press coverage to all campaign stakeholders.

Coordinate title-specific calls and meetings with both internal and external partners.

Create, maintain, and circulate agendas for all team calls; take extensive notes to identify action items for future discussion and implementation.

Maintain flexibility to work extended hours during film premieres, press days, festivals, and other campaign beats, including occasional talent and below-the-line handling.

Must be in office 5 days a week at Culver Studios.

Ideally 1 year of experience in public relations through internships or full‑time roles.

A Day in the Life
Reviews overnight media coverage, monitors press activity, and responds to emails from journalists, talent representatives, and internal teams. Manages talent schedules, coordinates press materials, updates campaign trackers, communicates with cross-functional teams, and prepares for premieres, press junkets, or other publicity events.

About The Team
The Amazon MGM Studios Movies PR team is a collaborative group of specialists organized into four Title/Campaign Teams, a Regional/Audience Strategies team, an Events team, and an International team. The Title/Campaign Teams equally divide the annual film slate and serve as the primary liaisons between talent representatives and cross-functional partners. They manage top-tier talent and press relationships, negotiate travel and logistics, secure high-profile media appearances, and conceptualize innovative communications plans that advance business objectives and drive new Prime memberships.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.

1+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to be detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of managing meticulous logistics while remaining responsive within the fast-paced nature of film publicity.
