Imaginate Your Space partners with K-12 school districts nationwide to transform cafeterias, gyms, and media centers into student‑centered spaces students actually get excited about. By combining custom graphics, signage, and painted environments, we help schools create organized, welcoming areas that reflect real school pride. We manage design, fabrication, and installation in-house for a true turnkey experience. We believe the room changes everything, so every project is built around each school's identity and the daily experience of its students.
Role Description
We're looking for a highly experienced, deeply technical Production Artist to turn design concepts into flawless, production‑ready files. This is a full‑time, in‑person role (with potential to move to a hybrid schedule over time) based at our Worcester, MA location, working alongside our fabrication and installation teams. This is the precision side of our design team. You'll take approved concepts from our design team and build accurate, to‑scale layouts and production files that our fabrication and installation teams can execute perfectly.
This is a senior, hands‑on production role for someone who has done large‑format and environmental graphics for years. You understand print and fabrication file prep cold, you design accurately to real‑world dimensions, and you can be trusted to run the technical execution end to end without surprises. This is not a conceptual role. The ideas come from the design team. Your craft is making them buildable and perfect.
What You'll Be Doing
Building accurate, to‑scale layouts from concepts, site measurements, photos, and 3D scans
Preparing production‑ready large‑format print and fabrication files with correct bleeds, color, scale, and specs
Turning approved concepts into clean, buildable files for wall wraps, dimensional graphics, signage, window and floor graphics, and painted wall layouts
Creating polished mockups and renderings for proposals and client presentations
Ensuring every file matches the school or district's brand guidelines, colors, and mascots
Handling revisions cleanly and quickly
Working directly with the fabrication team and install crews so files translate perfectly to the finished space
Keeping design files, assets, and version control organized and clean
Qualifications
Several years of professional experience in production, large‑format, or environmental graphics
Expert‑level command of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
Strong technical understanding of print and large‑format production: file prep, bleeds, color management, resolution, scale, and substrates
Ability to design accurately to real‑world dimensions and hand off files that fabricate and install without surprises
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines at once without dropping quality
Experience with signage, wayfinding, wall wraps, or fabrication files is a strong plus
Familiarity with 3D scan tools (such as Matterport) or CAD is a plus
Location & Travel
This is an in‑person role based at our Worcester, MA location, with the potential to move to a hybrid schedule over time. Occasional travel may be required for site visits or install support.
