Sr. Software Configuration Analyst

Location:

Jackson, MI - Initial onsite period: 2–3 weeks at the start of the engagement. Ongoing onsite cadence: 1–2 weeks per month thereafter. Onsite meeting days: When onsite, presence is required Tuesday through Thursday. Hybrid schedule: Work performed in Jackson during required onsite weeks.

Asset Management Team has application space where the domain is the assets at CMS energy, specifically in this family, have a team that is transmission and grid management which is where ADMS is - looking for a Configuration Analyst with OSI Emerson experience, would consider DeltaV (OSI Emerson is preferred) experience in configuring ADMS suite of software

This group is undergoing a full software upgrade within the next 1-3 years. There are 2 aspects - there are some configuration items the business is looking for regarding requests around call reduction for dispatch (looking for solutions around ADMS for the dispatch team), there are some specific underbuilds and build controls (enhancement and configurations) - hardware/software upgrades taking off around November and will be a few years in production.

There are ongoing discussions from a manual process to a more automated system within the business involving automating where needed automation - call reduction, field control, the idea to leverage some sort of automation to assist with efficiency and labor optimization, etc.

Recently upgraded to 3.4 (livewire) and they are upgrading to V15 (the new upgrade) and purchasing licenses for portal and compass.

Responsibilities

Building a web application as part of enhancement.

Supporting individuals with Aspen Tech Emerson OSI experience in configuring.

Working with the ADMS suite of software.

Assisting with performing a full hardware and software upgrade in the next 1-3 years.

Looking at solutions for configuration within ADMS that could help dispatch teams. Also specific underbill and field controls within ADMS.

Skills

5+ years' experience.

Configuration Analyst with OSI Emerson experience, DeltaV (OSI Emerson preferred) experience in configuring ADMS suite of software.

Configuration or previous utility experience with OSI.

Experience with making web applications that sit in ADMS (highly desirable).
