Program Support Supervisor II

Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Program Support Supervisor II provides on‑duty functions on a regional basis for an assigned shift. On‑duty functions include ensuring adequate staffing levels and coverage, assigning substitutes and program personnel to accommodate staffing shortages, and coordinating emergency and crisis intervention responses to ensure adequate coverage and incident management. The supervisor ensures proper documentation of all shift activities, including allegations of client abuse, suicide attempts, and emergency responses. The position reports to a manager or administrator. The Program Support Supervisor II may perform additional duties in direct employee management and reporting structure, managing client/customer focus, leadership and organizational commitments, and financial management.
Essential Job Functions
Provides on‑duty coordination activities including monitoring staff departures off campus, ensuring staff have access to restricted areas, directing staff during emergencies, providing consultation or assistance with crisis interventions as needed, monitoring campus activities, events, and locations of student and staffing groups, and ensuring adequate responses to emergencies; provides written documentation for all significant events and incidents; approves and monitors emergency control procedures; conducts fire drills; screens external visitors.
Ensures adequate staffing coverage by assigning substitutes to programs and work sites as needed.
Provides first aid to injured staff and consumers, and oversees disposal of bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials.
Channels necessary information with program staff and supervisors.
Reports and oversees the documentation of allegations of consumer neglect or abuse, and of any consumer suicidal statements, gestures, or attempts.
Oversees and implements crisis intervention strategies as needed, ensuring all incidents are documented and reported properly.
Coordinates the use of Grafton vehicles and administers medications in the absence of a nurse.
Prepares documentation for shift activities including daily communications logs, departmental payroll, attendance and leave records, and more.
Oversees the maintenance of OSHA and first aid supplies.
Ensures policies and procedures are properly implemented for the assigned shift.
Provides administrative support for assigned duties as needed.
Participates in training and weekly staffing meetings.
Performs other work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in human services and 1 year of professional experience performing administrative duties and/or responding to incidents and providing crisis interventions; or
A high school graduate or G.E.D. with 2 years of professional experience performing administrative duties and/or responding to incidents and providing crisis interventions.
Requires a valid driver’s license.
Compensation
$26.62 – $34.29 per hour – position may be filled at the PSS I or PSS II level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Depending on hours worked, eligibility for Grafton’s shift differential is available.
Shift differentials: $1.50 per hour for weekday evenings & overnight (3:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.) and $3.00 per hour for weekend shifts (Fri 3:30 p.m. – Mon 7:00 a.m.).
