Operational Requirements Analyst – PNT KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high‑end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security.
Key Responsibilities Interface and perform duties to support the Service integration with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS).
Participate in the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) process, including attending Functional and Joint Capabilities Boards (FCB/JCB) as the USSF representative.
Author, edit, review, staff and assess capability development products such as Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), CDD Annexes, Rapid Prototyping Requirements Documents (RPRD), and Space Force Requirements Documents (SFRD).
Advise senior leadership in planning, developing, and coordinating capabilities development process actions with the CSRO.
Synthesize data analytics to assess and provide feedback on the capability development artifacts for each program within your requirements branch.
Work Environment Location: On‑site, Pentagon. Travel Requirements: Minimal 0–20% to NCR region. Working Hours: Standard.
Qualifications Required: Demonstrated understanding of the Space enterprise, including DoD requirements, acquisition, budgeting processes, and applicable Defense Space guidance and policy.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, lead, and execute requirements projects and outbrief results to senior leadership.
Application of principles, theories, and concepts related to U.S., allied, partner, and adversary Global Navigation Space Systems (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS), Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR), ground control systems (OCX), and ground user elements (MGUE).
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent, plus 9+ years applicable experience in Service, COCOM, and/or Joint Capabilities development.
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
Desired: Master’s degree in a relevant field.
12+ years experience in operations, engineering, scientific, analysis, policy, and/or planning field related to Defense Space HQ AF/SAF/Joint staff experience within the past 3 years.
Experience editing Joint Requirements documentation.
Experience with space system acquisitions.
Experience with staffing tools such as Task Management Tool (TMT) and Knowledge Management/Decision Support (KM/DS).
Experience with AI tools and knowledge in operational analysis.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours.
Compensation Basic Compensation: The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
